WEG CONTEST UPDATE

Unfortunately, after reports of people being unable to register on the website and vote, we decided not to announce a winner earlier this week as expected. We apologize for the confusion. Our investigation into the cause of the login problems found that the system incorrectly thought we were experiencing a DNS attack and discontinued accepting new registrations. With no ability to track down those who could not register as the deadline approached, we extended the deadline to make sure those who could not login have an opportunity to vote. This contest is one of the ways that WEG is helping to promote web series. By ensuring that everyone who wants to vote has the ability to do so without experiencing technical difficulties is the best way to ensure a fair contest. Again, we apologize for any confusion that resulted from this unexpected technical problem.

VOTING GUIDELINES:
We have received a number of emails from people who wanted to vote and were unable to. Many voted via email. Unfortunately, we cannot accept email votes per our contest terms and conditions. We must have everyone vote the same way, by registering and voting at http://www.webentertainmentguide.com/weg-video-contest-finalists. If you are still unable to log onto the website to vote, please contact us immediately at info@webentertainmentguide.com so that we can process your registration before the new March 20, 2010 @ noon deadline. Please note, if you try to register the day of the contest, your registration may not be processed in time for you to vote. Please register earlier rather than later. If you do not contact us by March 20, 2010 at noon about any registration problems, your vote will not be counted.
